The contract for the construction of the railway station in Neos Panteleimon, Pieria was signed
Another project concerning the modernisation of the country’s railway network is proceeding according to the schedule of ERGOSE. Specifically, yesterday, February 22, the contract for the construction of the Railway Station in Neos Panteleimon of Pieria (T.N. 752) was signed, for a contract price of 801.561,78 Euro (excluding VAT), which is financed from European Union funds through the Cohesion Fund of the Operational Programme “Transport Infrastructure, Environment & Sustainable Development 2014 – 2020”.
The contractor of the project, which was tendered through the platform of the National Electronic Public Procurement System (NEPPS.), was declared the company “SOLIS ANONYMOUS TECHNICAL COMPANY” with the distinctive title “SOLIS S.A.”. The selection of the contractor for the construction of the project was carried out in accordance with the “open procedure” of article 264 of Law No. 4412/2016 and under the conditions defined by this law.
The physical scope of the project concerns the construction of the following:
- two platforms on either side of the existing high-speed railway lines (HSR), each 150 m long and 4 m wide
- a staircase with a lift
- a 30 m long earth retaining wall on the upper side of the HSR dock
- two metal shelters on the platforms, each 35 meters long
In addition to the above, the contractor undertakes the landscaping of the surrounding area on the side roads in the area of the Railway Station, the management and removal of rainwater, the electric lighting of the platforms and surrounding area, the electrical protection of metal structures adjacent to the railway lines due to electrification, as well as the temporary and permanent safety measures for employees and the public.
It is noted that the construction period of the project is 24 months, with an additional 24-month period of mandatory maintenance after completion.
Regarding the signing of the contract, the Managing Director of ERGOSE Mr. Christos Vinis noted: “ERGOSE is proceeding rapidly with the implementation of its mission, the completion of the modernization and expansion projects of the country’s railway network. With continuous project announcements, tenders and contracting, the projects are progressing, while at the same time we are planning new projects that will contribute to the upgrading and completion of the Greek railway system.”
