ERGOSE’s tenders for the six major railway works of the Competitive Dialogue proceed to the second phase
Two new works amounting to € 9.78 million are put out to tender through a competitive tendering procedure
Athens 14 June 2022 – The tenders for the six major rail projects of the €4 billion Competitive Dialogue, which will upgrade the commercial and strategic role of the country’s key ports, are now in their second phase.
The ERGOSE Board of Directors at its meeting last Friday 10/6, approved the invitation to participate in dialogue for all six projects, so the B.I stage of the next phase, which involves conducting a dialogue with potential contractors, officially begins.
At this stage, the optimal technical solution will be determined and all available studies will be used. The preparation of the required final studies will be completed by the Contractor of each project, which will emerge from the tender procedure. It should be noted that participation in the dialogue is a necessary condition for the participation of the pre-selected candidates in the next stage (submission of binding offers).
It is recalled that the tender procedure for the Competitive Dialogue projects includes two phases:
Phase A (pre-selection), which includes the Call for Expressions of Interest, which has already been completed with the examination of the completeness of the Qualitative Selection Criteria by ERGOSE, and
Phase B (dialogue and submission of tenders), which consists of two sub-phases:
the current Stage B.I, which concerns this Call for Participation in Dialogue, and
Stage B.II, concerning the Invitation to Tender, which invites the submission of binding tenders for the award of the Contract.
The criterion for the award of contracts shall be the most economically advantageous tender based on the best value for money, assessed on the basis of criteria linked to the scope of each contract.
Τhe tendering of two new projects was also approved through competitive tenders
At the same time, the plan of the tenders is progressing, which includes the tendering of additional projects for the upgrading and modernisation of the country’s railway network.
The Board of Directors of ERGOSE at its meeting last Friday 10/6, approved the tender documents for two railway projects, totaling €9.78 million. These are:
-Construction of a railway station in Kryoneri, Attica, with a budget of €5.88 million. The project, which is registered in the Public Investment Program, concerns the construction of a station between the S.S. Dekelias and Agios Stefanos, on the railway axis Patras – Athens – Thessaloniki – Idomeni. Provision is made for passenger service areas (Ticket Office, Passengers’ WC, Employees’ WC, Storage area) and mechanical areas to support the Station and the Railway Systems.
-Construction of the technical overpass at Domokos Perivoli and signposting of railway stations and stops on the section of the Tithorea – Domokos line, with a budget of €3.9 million. The project, funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2014-2020, includes the construction of a technical overpass on the new double high-speed railway line Tithorea – Lianokladi – Domokos, as well as the marking of seven stations and stops on the Tithorea – Domokos section of the line.
The Chairman of the Board and CEO of ERGOSE, Christos Vinis, stressed: “Each step in the tendering and awarding process of key projects is a step closer to the completion of critical infrastructure that upgrades the country’s railway network and changes the map of passenger and freight transport in our country”.
