The largest railway project in the country’s history was the focus of the 86th TIF
Thessaloniki, 15 September 2022.- The action plan that set in motion the largest railway works programme in the country’s history is presented by ERGOSE to visitors to its stand at the 86η Thessaloniki International Fair.
With the slogan “WORK in Progress” running through the ERGOSE pavilion, visitors are informed about the critical expansion and modernization projects of the Greek railway.
These are the projects of key importance that upgrade the “backbone” of the railway, i.e. the central axis Patras-Athens-Thessaloniki/Eidomeni/Promahonas, making the country’s network fully electrified, as well as the new generation of Competitive Dialogue projects, which interconnect the country’s major ports with the railway network and upgrade the cross-border interconnection of Greece with south-eastern Europe.
The Company’s stand was visited by the Minister of Infrastructure & Transport Mr. Konstantinos Karamanlis, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mr. George Karagiannis, the Deputy Minister of Transport Mr. Michalis Papadopoulos, as well as the Secretaries General of Infrastructure and Transport Ms. Maria-Ellis Gerardi and Mr. Yannis Xifaras, who had the opportunity to be shown around the pavilion by the President & CEO of ERGOSE Mr. Christos Vinis and other executives who were present.
The “VR experience” plays a leading role at the ERGOSE stand. Visitors with special Virtual Reality masks have the opportunity to see important projects almost “in real life”, to “enter” an ERGOSE construction site and to closely observe the work in progress.
