

The project involves the construction of a new double railway line, approximately 35 km long, in the section from Evangelismos RS to Leptokarya RS, with signalling, telecommanding, telecommunications and electrification.
In greater detail, the project includes:
- infrastructure works for the new railway line
- superstructure works all along the new railway line, with the application of slabtrack, for the first time in Greece, in the Tempi area
- installation of a modern ΕΤCS level I signalling and telecommunications system
- installation of electrification
- execution of the necessary land acquisitions
