Furthermore, at the stand, ERGOSE executives inform visitors about the progress of important projects in the main body of the country’s railway network that are being implemented and put out to tender with a total budget of € 815.5 million.
The work of ERGOSE
The projects already being implemented by ERGOSE, as well as those being promoted, are of strategic importance for the country and act as a multiplier in the economy as during the construction phase they contribute significantly to the stimulation of the entire construction market, which historically acts as a driver of growth of the real economy.
Once these projects are operational, they will create added value for society and the economy and contribute to the strategic goal of transforming the country into a transit hub for South East Europe.
At the same time, they serve the European policy for sustainable mobility in line with the requirements of the European Green Deal.
The President and CEO of ERGOSE, Mr. Christos Vinis said: “ERGOSE’s participation in 85η TIF is important, as it communicates to the general public the Company’s key role in the implementation of projects for the expansion and modernization of the Greek railway, with emphasis on the interconnection of Greece with Europe, as well as the interconnection of remote areas and critical infrastructure.”
